Jackie Elliott, is the author of the Coffin Cove Mystery series,  published by Joffe Books.

Hell’s Half Acre, the second in the series was shortlisted for a Crime Writer’s of Canada Award of Excellence in 2022, in the The Whodunit Award for Best Traditional Mystery

Originally from the UK, she settled on Vancouver Island in 2004. She is now married to Bob, a commercial fisherman and accomplished storyteller – like most fishermen!

Intrigued by the stories and rumours that swirl around the underbelly of small communities, and filled with love for her adopted home, Jackie was inspired to write the Coffin Cove Mystery series.

Although Coffin Cove does not exist, if you travel to Vancouver Island and pay attention, you may get the sense that you’re visiting the tiny ficticious community, especially if you find yourself down by the docks, watching fishermen work on their boats, or you drop by a coffee shop and listen in to a conversation or two.
